Louise DeAmiches Parsons, 95 of Smithfield, PA, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
She was born on December 28,1928 in Bobtown, PA.
Louise was predeceased by her husband, Calvin J. Parsons, Jr., her parents, Valentine and Teresa DeAmiches; three sisters, Rose Cochran, Laura Costa, and Theresa Fulton; five brothers, Joseph, Leonard, Anthony, Valentine, Jr., and Victor DeAmiches. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her children, Gregory Parsons (Cynthia) of Uniontown, Pa., Sandra Townsend (Rodney) of Masontown, Pa., and Kimberly Parsons of Morgantown, WV; one granddaughter, Deanna Davis (Jerry) of Nemacolin, PA, and three great-granddaughters, Madison, Allye, and Ella Davis, sister-in-law Myra DeAmiches of Cleveland, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was a devout Catholic and was a member of SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Fairchance, PA.
She attended Point Marion High School.
She was a homemaker most of her married life, but did some work at Fallingwater, WMBS Radio and a secretary of Albert Gallatin Schools.
Louise loved to cook her Italian recipes and bake delicious treats for her family and friends. Her Cream Puffs were always “in demand” by her family, friends, and neighbors.
Louise was a friendly soul and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She once was on the telephone for 1 ½ hours talking to a lady who dialed a “wrong number”.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, PA on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, PA. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, PA.
