Diane (Loncar) Verbosky

Diane Verbosky, Shoaf, Pa.

     Diane Verbosky, 93 of Shoaf, Pa. passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

     She was born March 13, 1925 at United, Westmoreland County, Pa. the daughter of the Paul Loncar and Mary (Ozanich) Loncar.

     Diane was predeceased by her parents Paul and Mary; her husband, Robert Verbosky; son, Robert Michael Verbosky; sisters, Julia Ann Flood and Betty Pontious and brother, Joseph Loncar.

     Surviving are her loving daughter, Lu Ann, who has been her caretaker for the past 6 years and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her loving cats, Geoffrey, Ernie, Katie and Charlie.

     Diane was a life long member of SS Cyril and Methodius Church and the former St. Helen Church in Shoaf, the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and always worked all of the spaghetti and fish dinners at SS Cyril and Methodius Church.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 14, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. The Funeral Mass follows at 10:00 a.m. in SS Cyril and Methodius Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa.

     Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.

     A special thank you is extended to the entire staff of Amedisys Hospice of Uniontown for all of their loving care given to Mom.

     Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary on Friday at 4:00 p.m. Friday.
