Douglas S. Rahm Sr., Smithfield, Pa.

     Douglas S. Rahm Sr., 61 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away peacefully on October 24, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

     He was born December 25, 1956 in Uniontown, Pa. to John O. “Jack” and Velma (Wilson) Rahm Sr.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Douglas S. Rahm Jr. and a brother, John O. Rahm Jr.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carol (Gray) Rahm; son, Jason P. Rahm; daughter, Cristina L. and Edward Myers Sr.; grandchildren, Katelyn, Edward Jr. and Jayden Myers and Paige Rahm all of Smithfield, Pa.; brother, Terry A. Rahm of Fairchance, Pa.; in-laws, Ray and Anna (Louise) Gray Sr. of Smithfield, Pa.; best friend of many, many years, Albert Ream of Leckrone, Pa. and many other loving relatives and friends.

     Doug was employed by Georges Township for 35 years until his retirement and then as Assistant Ground Keeper at Fairfield’s Personal Care Home in Fairchance, Pa.

     He was Vice President of Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club where he enjoyed attending multiple functions and where he made many friends and memories. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 491, Amend Gun Club and Mountain Lodge for many, many years.

     In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending local car shows with his 1967 Chevy truck and winning several trophies and he loved being a morning regular at Haydentown Exxon where he enjoyed many laughs with his buddies. But his biggest joy was spending and enjoying time with his grandchildren that held a very special place in his heart.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Lesher officiating.

     Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
