Eugene Robert Budner, Salem, Ohio

     Eugene Robert Budner, 79 of Salem, Ohio and formerly of Collier, Pa. passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018.

     Eugene was born in Collier, PA, to Steve V. and Anna R. (Angel) Budner on November 16, 1938. He served active duty in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He married Joanne M. Horvath on August 5, 1972 at SS Cyril and Methodius Church in Fairchance, Pennsylvania. He retired after working in metal fabrication for over 30 years.

     He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem, Ohio.

     Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Marie (Horvath) Budner, his father, Steve V.  Budner and mother, Anna R. (Angel) Budner.

     Eugene is survived by his three children, Maria, Melissa and Eugene; his brothers, Robert (Sonny) and Stephen; his sister, Annette and 6 grandchildren.  

      The family will greet friends and family in Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, PA. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, June 7, 2018 until9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m.  at SS Cyril and Methodius Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, PA.  

     Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, PA.
