Judd was a member of the Brownfield United Methodist Church, where he was fondly referred to as Uncle Judd by the entire congregation.

Judd’s passions were his family, sports and gardening. He was very proud of his 4 daughters, his son, and all of his grandchildren. He loved spending time with family, whether having picnics and competitive volleyball games or going to their various sporting events, especially baseball.

Judd was a very good baseball player and was inducted into the Fayette County Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. He was known for his “good looks”, charm, sense of humor and quick wit and was often referred to as “Pap Pap” by family and friends.

Surviving are his children; daughters, Jackie Wirbicki and Jill Molton (Terry Janosek) of Uniontown, Pa., Jan Casebeer of Santa Rosa, CA, son, Mark (Jackie) Uhazie, Lincoln, Michigan; son-in-law, Darwin Miller of Smithfield, Pa.; a brother, Ray (Carol) Swaney of Hopwood, Pa.; grandchildren, Jill (Doug) Hillard, Jeff (Bobbi Jo) Miller, Jody (Rod) Miller, Shaun Lucy, Drew (Brandi) Lucy, Samantha (Mercedes) Molton, Derek (Erica) Casebeer, Mark (Adrienne) Casebeer and Shelly (Robert) Hubenette and numerous great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews including Jim and Carl Dice, whom he regarded as his sons.

Judd’s family would like to extend their appreciation for the excellent assistance and support he received from his caregivers: Rhonda, Margie, Georgia, Sheree, Barb and Rhea, who became like family to him and to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
