Jessie J. (MacDonald) Mitchell

Jessie J. MacDonald Mitchell, Smithfield, Pa.

     Jessie J. MacDonald Mitchell, of Smithfield and formerly of Collier, Pa. passed away peacefully at Uniontown Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, September 27, 2019.

     She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Florence and Duncan MacDonald; her husband, Isadore Mitchell and brother, Dan MacDonald.

     Jessie is survived by her son, Isadore “Ike” Mitchell and his partner Al Wyant; her beloved grandchildren who she adored and went above and beyond to care for them, Jessica Mitchell Landman and her husband Bobby, Sandra Mitchell and her partner Nicholas Vicites and Devin Mitchell at home; her daughter-in-law, Tina Mitchell and Ed Vansickle; her sister, Mary Cameron and many nieces and nephews.

     She was a caring and giving woman. She enjoyed going to area bingo games in her younger years.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. A Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Douglas E. Dorula officiating.

     Interment will follow in White Rock Cemetery, Georges Township, Pa.

     A Special Thank You is extended to Uniontown Health and Rehabilitation Center staff, especially Kevin and Amedisys Hospice.
