Karol Eugene Coddington

 Karol E. Coddington, Georges Township, Pa.

     Karol E. Coddington, 79 of Georges Township, Pa. passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 with his family by his side.

     He was born March 19, 1939 in Friendsville, Maryland, the son of Ernest and Blanche (Article) Coddington.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Nancy (Hostetler) Coddington and son, Mark Coddington.

     Surviving are his fiance’, Barbara Jean Lindeman; children, Rick and Yvonne Coddington, Floyd “Wayne” and Patty Coddington, Keith Coddington and fiance’ Melissa Heffern, Carroll Coddington, Shari and Reuben Hershberger and Mary Coddington and Carol Ryan; daughter-in-law, Colleen "Candy" Coddington; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Rich and Marge Coddington, Linda and Dave McKnight, Gary and Pegg Coddington and Judy Fabian and several nieces and nephews.

     Karol served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1956 to 1959.

     He was an avid bingo player and loved to play baseball.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Military Rites being accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103 then followed by a service of remembrance officiated by Pastor Lawrence Coltura.

     Everyone is invited to a pre-service luncheon at the Republic Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
