Margaret E. (Palya) Angelo, Fairchance, Pa.
Margaret E. (Palya) Angelo, 91 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away into eternal life on Monday, August 12, 2019 with her loving family by her side.
She was born January 29, 1928 in Uniontown, Pa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Andrew W. Palya and Mary (Hromlyokou) Palya; husband of 66 years, Elroy L. “Bud” Angelo; infant brother, George Palya; brothers, Joseph Palya, Andrew Palya and William Palya; sister, Mary Ann Petruska; grandson, Private Daniel C. Angelo and son-in-law, Larry Kozak. She was the last surviving member of her parents’ immediate family.
Surviving are her six children, Joyce E. Dankovich and Tony Tizzano, Painesville, Ohio, Margaret M. Kozak, Uniontown, Pa., Elroy J. Angelo and wife Paulette, Fairchance, Pa., Renee Lafferty and husband Brian, Fairchance, Pa., William Angelo, Hemet, California and Lisa M. Patterson and husband Steven, Smithfield, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Matthew Dankovich, Cindy Robbins, Michael Kozak, Jocie Konopa, Douglas Patterson, Lacey Greeley, Christi Patterson and Jessica Patterson; nine great grandchildren, Brena, Jacob, Kelsey, Amelia, Craig Jr., Brendan, Sara, Chance and Scarlett; one great great granddaughter, Kinley Rae; brother-in-law, William Petruska; sister-in-law, Henrietta Palya and loving caregiver, Shirley Bebout.
Margaret was a homemaker who provided very well for her family. She loved to cook, bake and crochet. She was also employed as a waitress for many years at many area restaurants.
She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church and the Choir and a member of the former Ladies Bowling League of Fairchance.
The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, August 16, 2019 until 10:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. The Funeral Mass follows at 11:00 a.m. in SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. with Rev. Douglas E. Dorula officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
