Orville Umble, Woodbridge, Pa.
Orville Umble, 91 of Woodbridge, Georges Township, Pa. passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 with his loving family by his side.
He was born February 26, 1928 in Smithfield, Pa.
Orville was predeceased by his parents, Wilbert Goulden Umble and Evanell (King) Umble; his wife of 65 years, Belva (Conner) Umble; siblings, Robert Umble, Joann Doty, Catherine Jenkins and Gary Umble and grandsons, Tommy Umble and Allen Pretzel.
Surviving are his children, William and Patty Umble, Smithfield, Pa., Kenneth and Susan Umble, Morgantown, W.Va., Charlene Pretzel, Bruceton Mills, W.Va. and Sharon “Sweet Pea” and Bob Lawson, Morgantown, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother, James “Jay” Umble and several nieces and nephews.
Orville was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was a coal miner and a heavy equipment operator for many years until his retirement.
Orville attended the Woodbridge Union Church.
The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
