Richard John Kopnisky

Richard John Kopnisky, Uniontown, Pa.

     Richard John Kopnisky, 84 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in the Uniontown Hospital surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

     He was born December 10, 1935 in Shoaf, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Kopnisky Sr. and Sophie (Bogna) Kopnisky; brothers, Albert Kopnisky, Francis Kopnisky and Joseph Kopnisky and sisters, Elaine Gamon and Agnes Unetich.

     Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jane (Hebda) Kopnisky; two sons, Richard “Rick” Kopnisky and wife Kristina of Bristow, Virginia and Kevin Kopnisky and wife Joy of Uniontown, Pa.; grandson Aleksy; granddaughter Wilhelmina; step-grandchildren, Taylor Wrona-Connor, David Wrona and Nicholas Wrona; sister, Dolores Martin, Medina, Ohio; nieces and nephews.

     Richard served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was a Life Member of General Marshall Amvets Post 103 in Hopwood.

     He was employed with the US Postal Service in Uniontown for 33 years until his retirement.

    Richard will be sadly missed by all.

     It was Richard’s request that there be no viewing and no services.

     A special thank you is extended to the Uniontown Hospital doctors, nurses and staff for all of the professional and loving care given to Dad.

     Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home in Fairchance, Pa.
