Alice Marie (Shaffer) Knabenshue

     Alice Marie Shaffer Knabenshue, 55 of Old Wynn, Pa. passed away on May 24, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side.

     She was born March 27, 1963 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Melvin Shaffer and Thelma (Matlick) Shaffer.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Thelma Kay Works, Wilma Jean Sharp and Leanna Harvey and brothers-in-law, Pete Myers and Bill Works.

     Surviving are her sister, Nancy Myers; brothers, Melvin Shaffer and Charles and Jenny Shaffer; brothers-in-law, William “Bill” Harvey and Danny Sharp; close nephews (her boys) Donald, Roger and Mark Myers; eight additional nephews; twelve nieces; many great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles and many friends.

     Alice was employed as an Assistant Manager at Sweet Peas, Marathon, Amy Lynn’s and Dollar General.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Service begins at 5:00 p.m.

     Interment will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
