Arthur R. Hostetler, Smithfield, Pa.
Arthur R. Hostetler 92 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Friday, July 4, 2025.
He was born August 11, 1932 in Collier, Pa.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Andrew LeRoy Hostetler and Mildred Josephine Waser Hostetler; twenty brothers and sisters and his first wife Doris.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Edith Elaine Lilley Hostetler; children, Michelle Workman and husband Bob of Smithfield, Charles Hostetler of Uniontown, Robert Hostetler and wife Kathy of Elkton, Maryland, William Hostetler and wife Jennifer of Smithfield, Kellie Foster and husband Rick of Smithfield; Allen Howell and wife Edie of Masontown, Janelle Watt and husband Ken of Uniontown, Tina Rozak and husband Dale of Adah and Master Sergeant Alex Lashendock his military son; 27 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Frank Hostetler and Bruce Hostetler and many nieces and nephews.
Art was a bricklayer by trade being employed for 39 years until his retirement with Allied Craftsmen Bricklayer Union Local #9 Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Art was a life member of Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4571, General Marshall Amvets Post 103 and Smithfield-Fairchance American Legion Post 278.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. the hour of service.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa. with Military Rites being accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103 Honor Guard.
