Arthur Bailey Jarrett “Art”, Smithfield, Pa.

     On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, Arthur Bailey “Art” Jarrett, loving devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully in the Uniontown Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and family.

     Art was born February 4, 1938 in Springhill Township, Pa. He was predeceased by his parents, Jess B. “JB” and Eva (Dankle) Jarrett and a brother Jerry.

     Art married his beautiful bride, Patricia Ann “Pat” (Curtis) Jarrett December 8, 1956, they celebrated 62 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia “Pat” Jarrett; his daughter, Bonnie Jarrett; his sons, Arthur B. Jarrett Jr. and wife Pamela, Jess B. “Jesse” Jarrett and wife Sandy, Richard Allen “Ricky” Jarrett and Alycia Jarrett and Curtis Raymond Jarrett; eight grandchildren, Brooke Patterson, Rachel Marie Kachur, Paige Madison Jubic, Jordyn Lee Jarrett, Patrick Bailey, Arthur “AJ” Jarrett III, Mia Grace Jarrett and Blake Jarrett; four great grandchildren, Aubrey Patterson, Gavin Patterson, Addlyn Jubic and Evan Jubec; sister, Georgeanna Hargrove; brothers, William and Ronnie and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

     Art had a passion for people, for work and for entertaining. He never met a stranger, he worked until his last day and made all around him laughter and joy.

     Art was known by all for his quick wit, infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. To know him was to love him.

      The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Bowser officiating.

     Interment will follow in Old Frame Cemetery, Old Frame, Pa. with a family reception to follow.
