Berwyn D. David

     Berwyn D. David born December 22, 1930 in Uniontown Pa. the only child of Clyde W. David and Mildred E. (Franks) David passed away with his loving family at his side on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

     Berwyn was born and grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Georges Township High School in 1948. He worked at Sears Roebuck as a department manager for 35 years.

      He met the love of his life, Wilda Lee (Holub), whom he married in 1950.

     After retirement, Berwyn joined his father and son, Bill, in their Greenhouse operation at David’s Greenhouse. Berwyn was involved with David’s Greenhouse for more than 25 years.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Donnie David.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 Years, Wilda and his four children: Bill and wife Patty (Deli) David, Brenda Stephenson and husband Scott, Don David, and Lana Spiker and husband Scott.

     He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Jones officiating. 

     The Uniontown Fire Department members will pay their respect at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

     Private interment will follow in Jacob’s Evangelical Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.

     A special thank you is extended to the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Uniontown and the staff of The Gathering Place for all of the loving care given to our Dad.
