Betty Ann (Hoover) Barkley, Uniontown, Pa.

     Betty Ann (Hoover) Barkley, wife of the late David S. Barkley, 86 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on September 11, 2019.

     She was born January 20, 1933 in Lycippus, Westmoreland County, Pa.

     Betty Ann was predeceased by her parents, Otto R. Hoover and Helen S. (Gerhardt) Hoover; loving husband, David S. Barkley; brothers, Edmund A. Hoover and Herbert Hoover; sister, Janet (Hoover) Van Dellen; nephew, Mark Van Dellen and son-in-law, Joseph M. Garcia.

    Surviving are her daughters, Marcia L. (Barkley) Ross of Uniontown, Pa. and Linda Susan (Barkley) Garcia of Moundsville, W. Va.; grandchildren, Kelly Ross, David Ross, Megan Garcia and Lauren Garcia; sister, Carol Waldron, Gaston, Oregon and nieces and nephews.

     She was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church of Uniontown, Pa.

     Betty was employed for six years with the Union Supply Company, Uniontown Office, Fayette National Bank Building as a Secretary/Stenographer.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Johnson officiating.

     Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights next to her beloved husband of 51 years.
