Blaine E. Reese Jr., Georges Township, Pa.

     Blaine E. Reese Jr., 56 of Georges Township, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

     He was born January 8, 1967 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Blaine E. Reese Sr. and Elva Mae Stewart Reese; father-in-law, John Lape and brother-in-law, Harry Sanders.

     Surviving are his wife, Candy Lape Reese; daughter, Emily Reese; son, Blaine Reese III; grandsons, Clayton Reese and Hayden Reese; sister, Ruth Taylor and Grant Arnold; brother, George Reese and wife Lisa; mother-in-law, Debra Lape; brother-in-law, Robert Lape and wife Maryann; nieces and nephews, Tonya, Craig, Bobbi Jo, T.J., Ashley and Brittany and eight great nephews and nieces.

     Blaine formerly served as a volunteer firefighter with the Haydentown Volunteer Fire Department and was currently serving with the Fairchance Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

     He loved to hunt, fish, racing and demolition derbies.

     Blaine was a very close friend of Santa Claus and brought much Christmas Cheer to many on Christmas Eve each year riding on the red fire truck.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Allen Ellsworth. The Fairchance Volunteer Fire Department will hold their Firefighter Memorial Service at 4:30 p.m. with Last Call and Firefighter Procession thru Fairchance.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Blaine E. Reese Jr. Memorial Fund, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.
