Carl Edward Haines, Fairchance, Pa.

     Carl Edward Haines, 73 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

     He was born February 8, 1953 in Fairchance, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Wilbur and Catherine Haines and siblings, Bruce Haines, Larry Haines, Betty Haines Brempell and Kenny Haines.

     Surviving are his children, Heather Jean and John Kowalski, and Steven and Heather Lynn Haines; grandchildren, Isabella Haines, Nicole Jean Kowalski and Abby Irene Kowalski; loving companion Paula and adopted daughter Debbie and husband Harry; siblings, Wanda Haines Washko, Lisa Haines, Bonnie Keefer, Bill Haines and Eric Haines; nieces and nephews.

     Ed was a veteran of the United States Marines.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Melanie Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in Smithfield-Fairchance American Legion Post 278 Veterans Cemetery at Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.

     Military Rites will be accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103 Honor Guard.
