Cecilia M. Yantko Strauser Durant, Fairchance, Pa.

     Cecilia M. Yantko Strauser Durant passed peacefully at Laurel Ridge Nursing Facility on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

     She was born June 7, 1930 in Buffington, Pa.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; Michael and Mary Marcovics Yantko; her first husband, Harry J. Strauser Jr and her second husband, William Durant; daughter, Debra Sabarese and granddaughter, Rachelle "Shelly" Sabarese and these brothers and sisters, Stephen, William, Joseph, Albert "Jim", Mary Harkelli, Irene, Francis and Margaret Corbett.

     Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Yankovich, Pompton Plains, NJ and stepson, Donald Strauser (Sharon) of Uniontown and many dear nieces and nephews.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 19, 2019 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. The Funeral Mass follows at 10:00 a.m. in SS. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. with Rev. Fr. Gade Show Reddy as Celebrant.

     Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.

     The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Laurel Ridge Nursing Facility, Nursing staff, kitchen, office-all were most caring and attentive. Thanks also to the Amedisys Hospice Staff of Uniontown who cared for her the past few months.   A special thank you to Martha, her beloved room-mate.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, 70 North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa.
