Charlene Riggin, Smithfield, Pa.

     Charlene Riggin, 64 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

     She was born August 4, 1961 in Uniontown, Pa.

     She was preceded in death by her dad, Charles “Hen” King and step dad, George “Buck” Rankin.

     Surviving are her husband of 12 years, Jody Bittinger Sr.; step children, Jody Bittinger Jr. and Josh Bittinger; four step grandchildren; her mother, Judy Rankin; two sisters, Deborah Matthews, and Janice Bittinger had her husband Randy; two brothers, George Rankin Jr. and Gerald Rankin and many nieces, nephews and family.

     Charlene was a longtime Human Resources Manager at Uniontown Healthcare and Rehabilitation and enjoyed her free time at Big Bear.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Jobes officiating.

     Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
