Cynthia (Varto) Kushner

Cynthia Kushner, Uniontown, Pa.

     Cynthia Kushner, 75 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.

     She was born October 11, 1950 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Betty Varto; sister, Mary Skelton; brother, Stephen Varto and two nieces, Dawn Renee Bassinger and Susan Clawson.

     Surviving are her son, Andrew Kushner and his wife Veronica; two grandchildren, Jackie and Justin Kushner; two great grandchildren, Chandler and Charley; brother, Frank Varto; two sisters, Cheryl Wonkovich and her husband Jack, and Cathy Clawson; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was employed for many years at Sensus Technologies until her retirement.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
