Dave DiNunno, 84, of Smithfield, PA, peacefully passed away in Morgantown, WV, on March 30, 2025, after a well-lived life. He was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather known for his humor and commitment to family and community. Dave and his beloved wife, Sharon Cantoni Dinunno, shared many happy years of dancing, winemaking, gardening, gatherings, and camping. He brought smiles and laughter to people, made friends easily, and enjoyed golf, fishing, and hunting. Dave exemplified generosity by prioritizing altruism and readily supporting his loved ones with open-hearted kindness.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Maust DiNunno and sisters, Delores "Toots" Martin and Linda Jancovic.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Sharon; daughter, Stacy DiNunno Marolt and her husband Frank; grandson, Chris Marolt and his girlfriend Carly Nypaver and daughter Lydia; siblings, Frank DiNunno, Mark DiNunno and Cathy DiNunno; nieces; nephews; special friends and a very close friend who was like a brother, Ray Wade.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pa.
