Debra (Braddee) Handlin

Debra Handlin, Smithfield, Pa.

     Debra Braddee Handlin, 73 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away on February 19, 2025.

     She was born March 30, 1951 in Uniontown, Pa. to her parents, Percy and Sara Dillow Braddee.

     Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Brenda Braddee-Roycroft.

     Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Gene Handlin; sister, Joyce and Len Skoglund; brother, Alton “Pete” and Lana Braddee; brother-in-law, Gary Roycroft; brother-in-law, John and Theresa Handlin; sister-in-law, Misty and Rick Hajek; aunt, Linda McCoy; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

     Debra was employed for many years with NIOSH in Morgantown, W.Va. until her retirement.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday, March 6th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Miller officiating.

     Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
