Dolores Ruth Smith
October 20 1930 – April 4 2024
Dolores Ruth (Stone) Smith, 93, of Haydentown sadly left us on April 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at home.
She was born October 20, 1930, Uniontown, the daughter of the late Jesse James Stone and Cora Edith (Swaney) Stone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 54 years, Samuel “Ray” Smith Sr.; daughter Karen R. Hart; sons, Chester J. Smith, Darwin D. Smith and Alan W. Smith; son-in laws, Dennis Barnes and Dale Hart.
She is survived by daughters, Vivian Smith, Rhonda Horan (Lou Conte), Janice Benyak and David, Judy Kennison and Daniel Sr., Connie Barnes (George Powell) and daughter-in-law, Mary Lee; sons, Gary Smith and Nancy, Lawrence Smith (Sharon Mayfield), Robert Smith, Samuel R. Smith Jr. and Christy, Jeffrey Smith; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and worked many years at Ruby and Ketchy’s in Cheat Lake. She was a member of the Haydentown Christian Church.

Friends and family will be received in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 W Church St., Fairchance, PA from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2024. Viewing on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. the time of service followed by a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, PA with Pastor Virginia Eberhart officiating.
