Donald Dean Tabacsko, Haydentown, Pa.
Donald Dean Tabacsko, age 84 of Haydentown, Pa. was called home by the Lord on Saturday, June 22, 2024, he was a guest of Mount Saint Macrina Manor of Uniontown.
Donald also lovingly called Joker or Bud by family and friends was born in Commodore, Indiana County, Pa. the son of Walter and Mary Spencer Tabacsko on April 11, 1940, his twin sister Donna died at 3 months. He was predeceased by his parents; older brother, Walter “Sonny” Tabacsko; sisters, Georgene Tabacsko and Mary Ann Townsend; brother-in-law, Arnold Townsend and a nephew, Walter Tabacsko.
Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Lucinda “Cindy” Tabacsko; two daughters, Wendy (Gene) Tennant of Smithfied and Wanda (Mike) Patterson of Fairchance; four grandchildren, Donnie Tennant, Tiffany Ditmore, Matthew Clark and Stephanie Swaney; five great grandchildren; brother, Robert Tabacsko and wife Patty of Fairchance; sister-in-law, Darlene Tabacsko of Leckrone and several nieces and nephews.
Don hunted in his younger years, he liked yard sales and flea markets and Steeler football.
He retired from West Virginia Hospitals Inc. (Ruby Memorial).
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. the hour of service with Pastor Allen Ellsworth officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
A special thank you to the nurses in the Memory Unit at Mount Saint Macrina Manor and the WVU Hospice nurses who tenderly cared for him and a thank you to my niece Tina Eberhart for her love and support through this ordeal.
