Dora Jane (Sutton) Reckard

Dora Jane Reckard, Fairchance, Pa.

     Dora Jane Sutton Reckard, 95 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

     She was born August 7, 1922 in Georges Township, Pa. the daughter of Guy Sutton and Jenny Chipps Sutton.

     Dora Jane was predeceased by her parents; husband, John W. Reckard Jr. and three brothers, Guy Sutton, James Sutton and Howard Sutton.

     Surviving are her son, John E. Reckard and wife Janice and granddaughter Michelle Lynn, D.V.M.; daughter, Shirley Merbedone and granddaughter, Angela Arnett and husband Jeff and family, Aiden, Julia and Ava, grandson, Matthew Merbedone and granddaughter, Christina Byrd and husband Andrew and their father, Amadee Merbedone; sisters, Lois Hustead and husband Glenn and LaVina Klingensmith; brother, Jon Sutton and wife Gladys and nieces and nephews.

     The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pete Malik officiating.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1299 Pineview Dr. # 3, Morgantown, WV 26505.
