Dorothy June (Switalski) Catalogna, 88 of Smithfield, Pa. born March 12, 1937, was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Christine (Lynn) Switalski died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51years, James J. Catalogna; sisters, Florence Brady, Loretta Arbogast, and Mary Switalski and brothers, Edward Jr., Charles, Kenneth and Leonard Switalski.
Surviving are her children, Cindy (Catalogna) Adams and her husband AJ, and James Catalogna and his wife Michelle; her sisters, Christine Moats and Ada Parker; sister-in-law, Carolynn (Catalogna) Conaway; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy and James shared a beautiful life together. They were inseparable, enjoying golfing, bowling, shopping, and spending every moment of their free time side by side. Their love was evident from the day they met. Dorothy had a special passion for gardening, her yard was always filled with vibrant flowers every spring and summer. She cherished time outdoors and adored her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bella Healthcare for their wonderful care, love, and support shown to Dorothy.
Her legacy of love and laughter, family, and joy in the simple pleasures of life will be remembered by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Bryan Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
