Dorothy Elizabeth (Krichbaum) Janesko

Dorothy Elizabeth Janesko, Smithfield, Pa.

     Dorothy Elizabeth Janesko, aged 88 years, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024. 

     Dorothy lived all her life in Smithfield, PA, born one of twelve children to Philip and Emma Belle Krichbaum.

     She is predeceased by her devoted husband of 59 years, Richard R. Janesko.

     Known as a wonderful cook, and a generous and loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her children: Karen (Ray DeSanto), Rick (Lisa), Judy, Cindy, Brian (Janet), John, David (Lori), predeceased sons-in-law, Robert Quarrick and Henry Molinaro, and predeceased daughter-in-law Jill Janesko. 

     Also left to cherish her memory are twelve beloved grandchildren, nine adorable great-grandchildren, her sister Veda and brother Henry, and fur baby Miss Kitty. 

     The family thanks the Beechwood Court nurses and caregivers, and the Amedisys hospice team for their dedicated care and kindness.  

     Visitors will be received at Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home in Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, December 16 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, and on Tuesday, December 17 at 10:00 am for a brief service.
