Eugene E. Fordyce Sr., Lemont Furnace, Pa.

     Eugene E. Fordyce Sr., 83 of Lemont Furnace, Pa. passed away at home on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

     He was born November 2, 1941 in Uniontown, Pa. the son of Everette and Catherine Fordyce.

     Eugene attended the Church of God in Lemont Furnace, Pa.

     He worked for the Fayette News Co. for 35 years.

     He loved to hunt, fish and watch the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.

     Eugene was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

     Left to cherish his memory are his children, Eugene Fordyce Jr. and wife Holly, Richard Fordyce and wife Lisa, and Gina Harford and husband Robert; grandchildren, Alexis and husband Anthony, Brielle and husband Stephen, Hunter and wife Morgan, Remington, Kadaira, Morgan and Madison; two great grandchildren, Leo Landon Cool and Wrenley Campbell and brother, Raymond Fordyce.

     Preceding him in death were his loving wife, Peggy Fordyce; parents, Everette and Catherine and sister, Kathleen Balsinger.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Horne officiating.

     Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
