Francis Earl Lafferty Jr., Smithfield, Pa.

     Francis E “Fritz” Lafferty Jr., 57 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away at WVU Hospital Ruby Memorial with his loving family by his side on January 6, 2025 after a short fight with cancer. Services will be held at the Uniontown Church of the Nazarene, 8 Jeffreys Lane, Uniontown, Pa. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 for visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. His funeral will be on Facebook “Live” for friends and family that are not able to attend the service which is linked below. His burial will take place in North Dakota at a later date for family and friends.

     Francis E “Fritz” Lafferty Jr. was born October 28, 1967 in Cavalier, North Dakota to Phyllis and Francis Earl Lafferty Sr. He grew up in areas between Grand Forks, Devils Lake and Walhalla, North Dakota. He had many accomplishments growing up which included serving as an altar boy to leaving a piece of his drawing talent with Central High School.

     Fritz met the love of his life, Sabrina, while in Walhalla, North Dakota. He quickly became a devoted stepfather to Sabrina’s daughter, Savannah, building a strong bond that lasted throughout his life. He and his family became Pennsylvania residents in 2012. Savannah gave her father 3 grandchildren starting in 2019 which all have been the light of his eye. He loved watching them grow and teaching them the facts of life.

     Fritz had a loving, carefree, out spoken, wild attitude which attracted many people to his life. Other things he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, country cruising, and especially his Bud Light (Bepsie) sessions in his Man Cave. He has many different nicknames he was known as: Papa, Uncle Francis, Fritzamania, Fritz, Boss Man, and special names given by his wife.

     Surviving is his wife of 18 years, Sabrina; daughter, Savannah Soli; grandchildren, Maverick, Jaxsyn and Kasen; mother, Phyllis Lafferty; mother-in-law, Geraldine Dubourt; siblings, Jody (Craig) Carrier, Brenda (Mike) Bourbanis, Chad (Jessica) Lafferty, and Jeramy (Kristyn) Lafferty; sister-in-law, Rachelle Barton; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and his close friend, Christian Colbert.

     Preceding him in death were his father Francis Sr.; father-in-law’s: Sherman, Leon; great-nephew: Allan.
