Fred A. Rankin, Hopwood, Pa.

     Fred A. Rankin, 67 of Hopwood, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in WVU Uniontown Hospital.

     He was born August 22, 1957 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert Hamilton and Jessie Marie Rankin; his wife, Alice Rankin and his close friend, Shirley Hudson.

     Surviving are his children, Robert and Dawn Rankin, Tammy and Jim Porterfield, Joann Swann and Eddie Voithofer III; grandchildren, Robert Jr., Emily, Katherine, Blaze, Vincent, Carrie, Amy, Tonya, Samantha, Bo and Joe; great grandchildren, Carly, Brayden, Harper, James and Landon; brother, Robert and Meredith Rankin;; many nieces and nephews and Shirley's family.

     Fred was employed for many years with the Uniontown School District until his retirement.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. when a Concluding Service will be held with interment following in Brown Cemetery, Elliotsville, Pa.
