Frederick J. Budner, Hopwood, Pa.

     Frederick J. Budner, 83 of Hopwood, Pa. passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa.

     He was born February 1, 1942 in Collier, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Frances Dulick Budner and his brother-in-law, Jerry Stone.

     Surviving are his two sons, Gregory (Tana) Budner, and Eric Budner; grandchildren, Michael Budner and fiance’ Amber Butler, Lauren Budner and Alexa Budner; former wife Earlene; sisters, Donna (James) Woleslagle, and Karen Stone; and other loving family members.

     Fred was a U.S. Navy veteran for over three years serving on the USS Allen M. Sumner.

     He was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church in Fairchance, Pa. and a member of Operating Engineers Local 66 for over 40 years until his retirement.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. The Funeral Mass follows at 10:00 a.m. in SS. Cyril and Methodist Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
