Gerald F. Hiles

     Gerald F. Hiles, Smithfield, Pa.

     Gerald F. Hiles of Smithfield, Pa. died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021.

     He was born September 22, 1938 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna Hiles and siblings, Betty Ice, Phylis Hiles and Evelyn Bowers.

     Surviving are his sister; Edna Smith; brother, Donald Hiles; children, Cynthia Tyler, Michelle Kurta and Debbie King; grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Amber Tyler, Natasha Tyler and 15 additional loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Gerald loved to spend time at his church, play the piano and spend time with his family. He was very close to his nephew, Harold Lacy and talked to him several times every week about his life and their shared love of God. We will forever be grateful for the comfort and support that Harold provided to our loving Father/Grandfather.  Gerald was a very gentle and kind man and he will be greatly missed. 

     There will be no public service. We would ask that any donations be given to The Gideon Memorial Bibles, Fayette County Gideons, P.O. Box 465, Hopwood, Pa. 15445 or to your local church.
