Gerald “Jerry” Kelley, Smithfield, Pa.
Gerald “Jerry” Kelley, 82 of Georges Township, Smithfield, Pa. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at WVU Uniontown Hospital.
He was born in Smithfield, Pa. on July 14, 1941.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Franklin and Vada Rhodes Kelley; son, James Howard Kelley; granddaughter, Miranda; grandson, Jared Bruce; brothers, Franklin, Bud, and Robert; sister, Rhonda and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Elva Hardin Kelley; daughter, Susan Wilson; grandsons, Bert and Ashleigh, and Thomas and Kayla; granddaughter, Cassandra and Oscar Ramone; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Roberta and Frank Skrypak and Rhoda and Leonard Lovejoy; brother, John and Mary Kelley; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry retired from CSX Transportation Railroad after 30 plus years of service.
He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and animals.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
