Harry J. Swaney

Harry J. Swaney, age 88 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away peacefully at Mt. Macrina Manor on May 4, 2024. He was born August 30, 1935.

Harry was preceded in death by his father, Ewing Swaney; mother, Thelma Glover; step father, Roy “T-Bone“ Glover; sister, Vivian “Jean” Lowe; son, Dane Swaney and daughter, Shree Gates.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Swaney; son, Gregg Swaney; daughters, Yvonne Nebraski and Dana Estabrook; stepchildren, Bob Stoneking and wife Lori, and Kelly Greco and husband Don; son-in-law, Larry Gates; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Harry was a retired coal miner and worked many of his retired years working at Reese’s Gunshop.

A celebration of life will take place at Hutchinson Park, Pavilion #4, South Union Township, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
