Herbert L. Guthrie Jr., Fairchance, Pa.

     Herbert L. Guthrie Jr., 70 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at WVU Uniontown Hospital.

     He was born January 24, 1956 in Uniontown, Pa.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Mary Ann (Kelly) and Herbert L. Guthrie Sr.; sister, Cindy; brother, Barry; brother-in-law, Graham Taylor, and his dog Sadie, who he took everywhere with him.

     Surviving are his son, Herb Guthrie and his wife Amanda; grandchildren, Abigail and Daniel, whom meant the world to him; former wife, Cindy; sisters and  brother, Candice Guthrie, Karen Harper and husband Johnny, Robin Lacey and husband Jim, Kevin Guthrie and wife Beth, Jackie Taylor, Kimberly Guthrie, and Kelly DeStefano and her husband Lou; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

     Herb enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking car rides through the mountains with his son and Sadie, playing chess with his grandkids, and Saturday morning coffee visits.

     He was formerly employed at Sterling Faucet in Morgantown, W.Va., Fairchance Construction, and he also completed handyman side jobs with his brother Kevin.

     The Guthrie family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at WVU Uniontown Hospital for their incredible care and compassion they showed to Herb.

     A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date with details of location and time.
