Isa Mae Whoolery Angel, 95, of Fairchance Pa. passed away peacefully on January 13th,2025 at home with daughter Linda and husband Larry. Isa was born July 11, 1929, to Earl and Jennie (Christopher) Whoolery of Fairchance.
Isa was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Joseph R. Sr, daughter Deborah A Stillwagon, her parents; stepfather Edgar Tanner; brothers, Earl Whoolery (Iona), Sherman Whoolery (Nancy), Edgar Tanner, Danny Tanner, Fred Tanner (Joyce) and Mike Tanner (Joanne), Mark Tanner (Dolores), sister, Eleanor (Rich) Grimm; sister- in-law, Sherry Tanner and great grandson Dave Michael.
She is survived by daughter, Linda (Larry) Dice, Fairchance; son, Joseph Jr (Carol), Collier; and son in law Richard Stillwagon, Fairchance. Grandchildren, Larry J. Dice, Jana (Thomas) Detrick, David (Lori) Dickerson, Bryanna Angel, Lori (Adam) Kelley, Joseph III(Brittany) Angel, Matthew (Amber) Angel; great grandchildren, Jacob (Marissa) Salisbury, Caitlin Angel, Tristan Dickerson, David Dickerson, Justin Angel, Thomas Detrick, Maelee Detrick, Bella Marie, Nathan Skelton, Brooke Kelley, Austin Angel, Dakota Angel, Mackenzie Angel, Paisley Dickerson, Shyanne Angel, Colson Angel; great great grandchildren, Easton Joseph Salisbury, Novalee Dickerson, and Scarlett Marie Salisbury.
Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Tom (Theresa) Tanner, Marvin Tanner (Marilyn Janosik), Marlene (Dr. Gary) Sutton, Needi (Dink) Weaver, and Kathy (Ralph) Kelley; sisters-in-law, Doris, Judy, and Veda; many nieces and nephews.
Isa Mae, Icy Mae, Aunt Isa, Mom, Gram, or Gramma, however you knew her, was full of laughter and fun. She enjoyed her time playing cards, cracking jokes with her sisters, going out to eat, and shopping online. Everyone has an Isa story. She was often the life of family parties and liked to have fun.
Isa was blessed to have the best of caretakers, and the family wants to extend many thanks to her Hospice nurse Shareese and Macie Moccaldi.
Visitation will be held at Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Sunday, January 19th, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Monday for visitation 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by the Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Lyons at 11:00 am on Monday, January 20th, 2025. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
