Our beloved James A. McGalla Jr.

of Fairchance passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 29th, 2024.

     He was born March 28th, 1991 the son of James A McGalla Sr.and mother, Peggy Thomas.        

     James was a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Lauren McGalla of Fairchance; 4 beautiful children: Preston James, MayleiAnna, McKenna James, and Paisley of Fairchance; loving aunt & uncle, Marlene and Gary Dugan who treated him like a son; along with 2 brothers, Matthew and Justin;  3 sisters, Christa, Ashleigh, and Peggy Ann; many other aunts and uncles and father-in-law, Roy Stare Jr.

     To know James (Jimmy) was to love him. Jim was a loving husband, father, and friend who left an incredible mark on the Fairchance community and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He did anything and everything he could for his family. He especially loved being outside passing football with his son, to playing softball with his girls, from work to the ball field, to home, he always showed up for everyone around him. His family was his pride and joy.

     The family will receive friends and family at his Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.
