Jeffrey Dean Eberhart, 63 of Dilliner, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
Born August 30, 1961 in Uniontown, PA, he was the son of the George R. Eberhart, Sr and Shirley Ann Guthrie Eberhart.
Jeffrey was a 1979 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and Fayette County Vocational-Technical School specializing in masonary. He was a coal miner the majority of his life at the family operated Eberhart Coal Titus Mine. He was an avid hunter and traveled to multiple states to pursue his passion and he especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills mentoring younger generations. He also loved fishing and was an avid outdoorsman where he spent many hours with family and friends. He enjoyed classic and muscle cars, a shared hobby with his family. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it and had a smile that could light up a room. He attended the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by 4 siblings: George (Ginny) Eberhart of Dilliner, PA; Sherry Appleton of Smithfield, PA; Wesley (Tracey) Eberhart of Dilliner, PA; and Joseph (Tina) Eberhart of Dilliner, PA. He was loved by numerous nieces and nephews: Kriston (Joe) Kovach, Ashley (Alan) Munger, Jason (Kasie) Appleton, Rachel (Corey) Eberhart-DeWitt and George Eberhart III as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; Oliva (Thomas) Ross; Andrew Appleton; Alyssa Appleton; Avery DeWitt and Cole Kovach.
He was predeceased by his father, George R. Eberhart, Sr, grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Eberhart, James E. & Ida M. Guthrie and a nephew, Brandon Eberhart.
Friends and family will be received at the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 W Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 3, 2024 until 11:00 a.m. the hour of service with his brother Pastor George Eberhart officiating.
Internment to follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Geneva, PA.
