Jess Sutton Shaffer, Fairchance, Pa.

     Jess Sutton Shaffer of Fairchance, Pa. passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Jess James Shaffer and Peggy Louise Sutton Shaffer.

     Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Paula Layfield Shaffer; daughter, Mindi Jerome and husband Gregg; step-children, Cheryl and Dean Hines, Sheila and Andy Angel, Richard and Gretchen Belan and Jeffrey and Christy Belan; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; loving sister, Betsy Robinson and husband David and niece, Bobbie Jo Steeber and husband Jeff.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Peter Malik officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
