The remains of Private First Class, Joseph L. Davies, who died on September 16, 1942 at Cabanatuan POW Camp will be laid to rest near his mother and sister at LaFayette Memorial Park, 132 Twin Hills Road, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania and under the direction of Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, Fairchance, Pennsylvania on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Military Rites being accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103 Honor Guard.
Joseph L. Davies was born November 9, 1920 to Evan Howard and Elizabeth Hlebak Davies (both deceased). Also deceased are the following siblings: Ida M. Lough, William B. Davies, Florence G. Hough, Eva A. Tennant, AnnaBella Means, Evan H. Davies, and Juanita Jean Means. Surviving is one brother, Edward R. Davies of Moses Lake, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews.
