Joseph “Joe” Riedmann Sr., Georges Township, Pa.
Joseph “Joe” Riedmann Sr., 70 of Georges Township, Pa. passed away at home into eternal life with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 with his loving family at his side.
He was born December 13, 1948 in Uniontown, Pa. the son of the late Vincent Riedmann and Cecelia “Lou” (Boni) Riedmann.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Joyce (Wise) Riedmann; two sons, Joseph Riedmann Jr. and wife Mary and Jason Riedmann and wife Cheryl; five grandchildren, Cole and Luke, Matthew and wife Erika, Danny and wife Ashley and Joshua and wife Vanessa; two great granddaughters, Emma and Elsie; brother, Chuck and Pam Riedmann; sister, Trena Riedmann Humphreys; many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and a very close cousin, Jim Boni.
Joe served in the U.S. Army Military Police from 1969 to 1971.
He was employed for many years as an auto mechanic at local area dealerships.
Joe attended the First Baptist Church in Fairchance and served as a custodian along with his wife Joyce.
He loved being outside, gardening, hunting and helping people. He loved his family and being a Pappy.
The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 9 to 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 17 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. The Funeral Service begins at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Pete Malik and Pastor Robert Wrachford officiating.
Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township, Pa. with Military Rites being accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103.
