Joyce Ann Hustead Breakwell, Fairchance, Pa.
Joyce Ann Hustead Breakwell, 81 of Fairchance, Pa. passed away on April 2, 2024 in WVU Uniontown with her loving family by her side.
She was born April 30, 1942 in Uniontown, Pa.
Prededing her in death were her parents, Wendell and Opal Stoneking Hustead; husband of 51 years, James Veach Breakwell and son, Vance Breakwell.
Surviving are her son, Brian Breakwell of Fairchance, Pa.; sister, Jeannie Berg (David Zaro) of Spokane, Washington; grandson, Cody ( Megan); great grandson, Ethan Breakwell all of Lima, Ohio; nieces, Wendy (David) Witham of Sandpoint, Idaho, Melissa Pletcher of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Rebekah (Randy) Foringer of Belle Vernon, Pa.; nephew, Matthew (Toni) Breakwell of Belle Vernon, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Pletcher, Kannapolis, North Carolina and Martha Breakwell, Belle Vernon, Pa.; numerous cousins and loving friends.
Joyce was a graduate of Fairchance-Georges High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College. She retired from Albert Gallatin School District where she taught mathematics and computer science for many years.
She was a lifelong active member of the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, leading youth activities, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Also very active at the district level with the United Methodist Women, now known as United Women in Faith.
Joyce loved quilting, painting, reading voraciously and participating in the Smithfield Book Club.
Everyone is invited to her Memorial Service at the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, 132 Collier Road, Uniontown, Pa. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held following the service and all family and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Hill United Methodist Church or any charity of your choice.
