Joyce Lynn Evans Student

January 3, 1951 – January 19, 2026

Joyce Lynn Evans Student passed away on January 19, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1951, at Uniontown Hospital. Throughout her life, Joyce lived in Florida and many other places, eventually returning to the Uniontown area, which she proudly called home.

Joyce was known for her huge personality, infectious laugh, and unmistakable presence. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and wife but also someone who truly knew how to enjoy life.

Joyce loved to celebrate, enjoyed a cold beer, and never missed an opportunity to laugh, tell a story, or bring people together. Wherever she went, she brought energy, humor, and warmth.

Family was at the heart of Joyce’s life. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, whether during quiet moments or lively gatherings filled with laughter and conversation. She was fiercely loyal, endlessly caring, and always authentically herself.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Carrie L. Rotolo; her stepson, Craig “Boomer” P. Student; and her stepdaughters, Abigial D. Bryan and Amelia D. Mustaffa. She was a proud grandmother to Kennedy R. Crossland, Hannah J. Crossland and Elise C. McLuckie, and a loving great grandmother to Valyn N. Crossland, Koda B. Thomas, Demri D. Thomas, and Houston E. Davis.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth E. Evans Jr. and Deborah J. Evans and nephew, Kenneth E. Evans III, Thomas E. Evans and Cythnia K. Evans, and Herbert L. Evans and Linda A. Evans; her brother and sister-in-law, John R. Hunyady and Paula L. Hunyady; her nephew, Steven J. Hunyady.

Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank “Phil” P. Student; her parents, Kenneth E. Evans Sr. and Velma June Weller; her brother Richard “Dick” W. Evans; and her nephew, Thomas E. Evans Jr.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her spirit, her humor, and the joy she brought in every room. Those who knew and loved Joyce are invited to raise a beer and a shot of Tequila Rose in her honor and Phil’s, celebrating their lives well lived at the Catholic War Veterans Post 1669, 1170 National Pike, Hopwood, PA 15445 on February 15, 2026, from 2PM-6PM.
