Larry G. Guthrie, Smithfield, Pa.
Larry G. Guthrie, 74 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Mildred (McClanahan) Guthrie; brother, Bill Guthrie; his twin brother, Harry Guthrie; sister-in-law, Paula Morris Guthrie and brothers-in-law, Pooch Hartman and Tom McVey.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Hellen) Guthrie; daughters, Tina Keener and husband Andrew Keener, Tanya Hodge and husband Gregory Hodge, and Tiffany McDonald and husband Billy McDonald; grandchildren, Holly Piovarchy, Tristan Hodge and Sydney Hodge; brothers, Paul Guthrie and Bob Guthrie; sisters, Mary Hartman, Jean McVey and Joan Diamond; brother-in-law, Ronald “Peanuts” Diamond; sisters-in-law, Kim Guthrie, Carol Guthrie and Cathy Guthrie and lots of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
His hobbies included, playing cards (pinochle and poker), hunting, fishing, and picking mushrooms and ginseng.
Previously he was employed as an Albert Gallatin School District Bus Driver and a bulldozer operator.
He also in his previous years was an avid softball player with his brothers and cousins.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Duane Biller officiating.
Interment in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
