Linda Grubb Thomas

Linda Grubb Thomas, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.

    Linda Grubb Thomas, 78 of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., passed away at home with her loving family by her side on May 4, 2026.

     She was born June 27, 1947 in Morgantown, W.Va.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Ova Grubb; sister, Sharron Philpott, brother, John Eddie Buchanan, and husband, Louris James Thomas II “Jim”.

     Surviving are two children, Tina Thomas Burns and husband Dan, and Louris James Thomas III “LJ” and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Nicholas Thomas, Dylan Basham and Colton Thomas; siblings, Pamela Carlson and husband Richard, Darrell Buchanan and wife Joyce, and Kenneth “Pete” Buchanan and wife Marilyn; several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.

     Linda was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church in Fairchance and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

     She loved embroidery, coloring and watching her TV shows.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be at SS. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Everyone please go directly to the church.

     The Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
