Lora Beth (Smiley) DiDominic, Fairchance, Pa.
Lora Beth (Smiley) DiDominic, of Fairchance, Pa. passed away on December 19, 2025.
She was born in Fairchance, the only daughter of Finley “Bud” Smiley and Lilly (Cunningham) Smiley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Danny in 1946 and Jack in 2007 and her sister-in-law, Connie in 2010.
Surviving are her beloved son, Brett Finley DiDominic and his wife, Barbara, Fairmont, W.Va.; her wonderful grandsons whom she loved and adored so much, Finley Cole DiDominic and Paxton Henry DiDominic of Fairmont, W.Va.; her cousins who are closer than any sisters could be, Irela Smith and Joyce (Dale) Eicher both of Fairchance; her constant companion and very best friend who made life easier and was so supportive, Sam Miller of Uniontown; her nephew, Shawn Smiley, Alma, Niki and Family of Aliquippa, Pa.; her good friend and father of her son, Tom DiDominic, and several cousins and many wonderful friends.
She graduated from Fairchance-Georges High School in 1968 and worked 50 years at the Fayette County Housing Authority, Uniontown, until her retirement in 2023.
Lora Beth was a member of the Fairchance Church of the Brethren for 60 years where she was Sunday School and Bible School Teacher, Children’s Director, Choir Director, Song Leader and Treasurer. She recently attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Fairchance.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at which time a short Time of Remembrance will be held with Pastor Deb Lambert officiating. A Celebration of Life Service and Dinner will be held at a later date and location to be announced.
