Loretta Mae DeVault Sutton, Smithfield, Pa.

     Loretta Mae DeVault Sutton, 89 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away surrounded by her family on April 17, 2026.

     She was born August 15, 1936 in Markleysburg, Pa. to Ethan and Margaret Bates DeVault.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William “Wayne” Sutton on July 5, 2010, they were married 54 years.

     Surviving are her son, William Wayne  Sutton Jr. “Bill” and wife Lisa, Smithfield, Pa.; step grandsons, Travis Plotner and wife Melissa, and Joshua Plotner and wife Sasha; step-great grandchildren, Landon, Colton, Cameron and Theo; sisters, Dorothy Price, Helen Sutton and Rita Dillow, sister-in-heart; niece, Donna Price (Kevin); and nephews, Ronnie Price (Karen), Eddie Sutton, and Jeffrey Sutton (Fiona).

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matt Davis officiating. Interment will follow Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
