Martin David Pahula “Jakes” “Santa”, Smock, Pa.
Martin David Pahula “Jakes” “Santa” 69 of Smock, Pa. passed away at the Gathering Place on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
He was born August 28, 1955 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Mary Ann (Gush-Pahula) Mesler and William T .”Pap” Mesler.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his five brothers, John J. Pahula, Edward F. Pahula, Michael A. “Mick” Mesler, Matthew Mesler, and Vincent Mark Pahula and two sons, Craig and Eric Zubovich.
Surviving are his wife of 50 plus years, Cookie; daughter, Kathy (Mike) Giannopoulos; son, Aaron Zubovich; son, Samuel (Liza) Sickles; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Annette) Pahula, Mark (Betty) Mesler, William “Grimus” (Jacquelyn) Mesler, and Keith (Brenda) Mesler; his sister, Marianne (Mesler) Sero and many nieces and nephews.
David was a 40 plus year employee of USA Inventory.
He was Santa’s apprentice for many years.
The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Molly Hall officiating.
