Michelle Rebold Swihart, Smithfield, Pa.

     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Michelle Rebold Swihart, who left us May 6, 2026 at the age of 58.

     She was born in Morgantown, WV and lived in Smithfield, PA.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, August Allen and Sarah Louise Rebold and sibling, Veronica Hartman.

     Surviving are her husband of 33 years, David “Boogie” Swihart; children, Allicia Taylor (Dylan), Zachary Swihart (Jenna), Matthew Swihart, TY Swihart (Katilyn), and Kayden Young; eleven grandchildren Khaitlynn, Haelei, Paetyn, Rhea, Raylinn, Everleigh, Kenzlee, Christopher, Clayton, Waylon and Remingtyn; brother, Mark Rebold and best friend, Beth Sharp.

     Michelle was the heart and soul of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, devoted grandmother and a true source of comfort and joy. Her greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren She loved deeply, laughed often and made sure everyone felt safe and loved.

     She found peace and happiness at the beach where the sound of the waves and warmth of the sun brought her comfort. She also looked forward to her bus trips to Atlantic City where she enjoyed the excitement and lights and the fun of getting away.

    Michelle had a fun and unique personality that made her unforgettable. She adored sloths, loved everything about baby yoda and never missed a chance to sparkle, whether it was something she wore or something that caught her eye. She carried a little extra shine wherever she went.

    She will be remembered for her loving heart, her bright spirit and the way she brought light and laughter into every room. Her love will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by spending time with loved ones finding joy in the little things and never being afraid to shine just like she always did and memorial contributions to Michelle Swihart Memorial Fund, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. 15436.
