Patricia Ann (Schreckengost) Pluto

Patricia Ann Pluto, Hutchinson, Pa.

     Patricia Ann Pluto, 87 of Hutchinson, South Union Township, Pa. passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Uniontown Hospital.

     She was born October 19, 1936 in DuPont Village, Pa.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, Mable Hughes and Ottie Schreckengost; brother, Ronnie Schreckengost and husband of 67 years, George Pluto Jr.

     Surviving are her son, George Pluto III and wife Candy of Hutchinson, Pa.; grandchildren, Nicole Pluto, Oliver, Pa., David Pluto and fiance’ Kristen, Uniontown, Pa., George L. Pluto and Katherine Pluto and fiance’ Brian both of Hutchinson, Pa. and Leah Pluto of Fall River, Mass; great grandchildren, Cassandra Johnson and Sean Johnson Jr. both of Oliver, Pa.; siblings, Daryl and Jeannie Schreckengost of Florida, Linda Goldsboro of Pennsylvania, Ottie and Barb Schreckengost of Pennsylvania and Nancy and Ken Baughman of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

     She loved to go camping in her RV and loved cooking for family dinners and outings.

     Patty was the owner and operator of Innie’s Country Corner Shop.

     She was one of the first female firefighters and EMTs in Fayette County.

     Patty was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Fairchance.

     The family will receive friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 10;00 a.m. with Pastor Vincent Cable officiating.

     Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
